Paul Reed Course Lead 

Paul has a long-standing track record of achieving high-level results with athletes from all areas and specialises in the combat sports arena. From amateurs to some of the best professionals in the UK and Europe, he's helped to provide quality education for a wide range of clientele.  
 
From working with UFC stars such as Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann, to leading weight making protocols for the Professional Fighters League's (PFL) European division, to acting as Head of Performance at the English Mixed Martial Arts Association, Paul has a wealth of knowledge and experience in sports nutrition across athletes of all levels. Through leading our GPNi UK courses, Paul is here to mentor you along your certification journey. Available to you via email, whatsapp, online sessions and our in-person teaching days, you can rest assured that you will be learning from one of the UK's leading sports nutritionists. 

Dana Wotton Course Support 

Dana is a second year sports and exercise student with a keen interest in sports nutrition and athlete performance. She also sits on the board of the English Mixed Martial Arts Association and trains in both kickboxing and brazilian jiu jitsu. Dana works closely with Paul to facilitate our students online learning, providing advice and support to everyone and organising our online and in-person study days. If you have any questions about the course or require any support, Dana is your go to lady! 

Jamie Carruthers Course Lead 

Jamie Carruthers has worked in the field of nutrition, health and performance for over 20 years. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Physiology with top honours and is a Senior Fellow from the Higher Education Academy. Jamie achieved the International Olympic Committee's Sports Nutrition Diploma where he graduated in Lausanne, Switzerland. Additionally Jamie was successful in becoming a Certified Sports Nutritionist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition, which is considered the premier international sports nutrition certification in the industry according to leading experts. Jamie is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. As a nutritional consultant he helps individuals from all walks of life improve their health, quality of life, or athletic performance. He’s helped athletes from a plethora of sports including Mixed Martial Arts, Rugby League, Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball and more. He has had experience of working internationally in the field having worked in the United Kingdom, United States and Qatar (Head of Nutrition and Dietetics for the Qatari Armed Forces) in Health and Performance Clinics and Universities. 
 
Jamie has dedicated his career to the advancement of the understanding and application of sport and health. This understanding is based on ongoing academic and applied research in both the clinical and sport environment. Jamie has authored and co-authored a number of research papers in the field of sports performance nutrition. His research has covered weight loss, weight gain, sports performance enhancement, and the physiological effects of exercise. He is the founder of Neuroptimax Diagnostics which is a new vision that combines key blood biomarker tests, and a scientifically formulated supplements range to help improve Mood, Sleep, Brain Health and Athletic Performance. Jamie’s passion for health and wellness is clear throughout his career and he brings that passion and attention to detail to his research, education and consultancy.
